Composing and Replying to Emails using Outlook Web Access
When accessing your email through an internet browser such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox you must load active-x controls or "plugins" to support the mail editing features of the web browser and outlook web access.
This is meant to help you correct the "RED X" problem when replying and composing.
Method 1:
Many of you are getting the on screen prompts to install the plugins and are simply not clicking them. This will guide you through manually starting the plugin install process and will show you where to click to install the plugins.
1) Starting from my email screen I'm going to click on the options button as pictured

2) On the options page scroll down if necessary to the "Download" button indicated by the red arrow and click on it

3) Click Run as indicated when it comes up

4) Wait for it to show the yellow bar at the top of your internet windows as pictured. Then right click on that yellow bar and left click on install activex control as pictured.

5) Click Run again as pictured

6) Now go to compose a new email message. The yellow bar will again appear. Again right click it and left click install active x control.

7) You will have to click Run again.

The red X should now be gone and emails should allow you to write in them.
